Opiniões dos professores de Matemática do Ensino Fundamental e Médio em relação ao ensino de Estatística / The opinions of basic and high school mathematical teachers of the 16th CRE towards the teaching of Statistics

Este artigo trata de uma pesquisa que teve como objetivo investigar as opiniões dosprofessores de Matemática do Ensino Fundamental e do Ensino Médio da 16ª CoordenadoriaRegional de Educação, com relação ao ensino da Estatística. Para isso, o trabalho foi compostode 3 etapas distintas: a primeira foi um estudo bibliográfico a respeito de currículo; a segundafoi a busca de dados sobre os conteúdos de Matemática e Estatística presentes nos planosde estudo das escolas e a terceira foi a investigação das opiniões dos professores que estavamatuando na disciplina de Matemática em relação ao ensino da Estatística. Para o levantamentodos conteúdos foi solicitado o manuseio dos planos de estudo de cada escola, da coordenadoria.Para a investigação das opiniões dos professores, foi encaminhado um instrumento de pesquisa.Buscou-se saber dos educadores como os conteúdos de Estatística eram abordados e trabalhadosno Ensino Fundamental e no Ensino Médio. Foi investigada a importância dada pelosprofessores ao ensino de Estatística. Procurou-se saber dos professores se utilizavam o computadorpara a abordagem dos conteúdos de Estatística em aula e como eram discutidos peloprofessor estes conteúdos, que são incluídos no plano de ensino. Investigou-se ainda, a visãodo professor sobre quais eram os objetivos da Estatística. Após análise dos dados, de conhecero perfil dos professores da 16ª CRE, percebeu-se que menos da metade dos programas dasescolas aborda o conteúdo de Estatística, porém, os professores consideraram que a abordagemdeste conteúdo nas aulas seja importante e que pode contribuir efetivamente para a formaçãodo aluno, desenvolvendo o espírito crítico e a cidadania.

This article is a survey that aimed to investigate the opinions of teachers of ElementaryMathematics Education and the high school’s 16th Regional Coordination of Education, withregard to the Statistics teaching. The work was divided in 3 distinct stages: the first was a studybook about curriculum, the second was the search for data on the contents of Mathematics and Statistics presented in the schools plans and the third study was the investigation of reviews ofteachers who were working in the discipline of Mathematics in relation to the teaching ofStatistics. For the analysis of the contents it was asked access to study plans for each school.To research the opinions of teachers, an instrument of research was sent. The aim was to learnfrom educators as the contents of Statistics were discussed and worked in the elementaryschool and in high school. It investigated the importance given to education by Statisticsteachers. The study seeks to learn wether the teachers used the computer to teach the contentsof Statistics in class and how these contents which are included in the plan of education werediscussed by the teacher. It is further investigated the teacher vision on what were the goals ofStatistics. After analysis of the data to know the profile of teachers of the 16th CRE it wasfound that less than half of the school programs address the content of Statistics, however theteachers felt that teaching this content in the classroom is important and can contribute effectivelyfor the student formation, developing the critical thinking and citizenship.
