O experimento do balde girante de Newton: muitas perguntas, poucas respostas / The experiment of Newton's bucket: Many questions, few answers

O presente artigo faz uma análise crítica das definições e do escólio das leis do movimentocontidas no "Principia", bem como do experimento do balde girante sugerido por Newton.Além de nossa interpretação, apresentamos e analisamos algumas explicações alternativas aoexperimento, baseadas nas críticas de Ernst Mach ao conceito de inércia newtoniana. O objetivoprincipal é criar um debate sobre um assunto muito importante para o entendimento damecânica newtoniana, mas pouco discutido. Ao longo do artigo emitimos a nossa opinião, mashá ainda várias perguntas esperando por respostas convincentes.

This paper makes a comment upon of the definitions and of the scholium of the movementlaws contained in "Principia", as well as the experiment of the rotating bucket suggested byNewton. Besides our interpretation, we presented and analyzed some alternative explanationsto the experiment, based on the critics of Ernst Mach to the concept of newtoniana inertia. Themain objective is to create a debate about a very important subject for the newtoniana mechanicsunderstanding, but a little bit discussed. Along the article we emitted our opinion, but there aremany questions waiting for convincing answers.
