Temas contemporâneos no ensino de Biologia do ensino médio / Contemporary themes on Biology teaching in medium school

Resumo

O objetivo deste trabalho é contribuir com a reflexão da prática profissional tanto de formadoresquanto de professores de biologia em educação continuada, bem como investigar as razões queimpedem a inserção de temas contemporâneos como Clonagem, Transgênicos, Reprodução HumanaAssistida entre outros, no contexto escolar. O ensino de temas contemporâneos tem se caracterizadocomo desafio à prática de ensino, configurando-se como tema-fronteira a alfabetização científica doestudante do ensino médio. Importa o desenvolvimento de habilidades, entre elas o estabelecimentodas interações entre conceitos e conhecimentos tecnológicos, a valorização de atitudes de cooperação,solidariedade e responsabilidade, indispensáveis ao exercício da cidadania.

The objective of this paper is to contribute with the reflection of the professional practice somuch of formadores, as of biology teachers in continuous education, as well as to investigate thereasons that impede the insert of contemporary themes like Cloning, Transgenic, Human ReproductionAttended among other, in the school context. The teaching of contemporary themes has if characterizedas challenge to the teaching practice, being configured as themes – border the student’s of themedium teaching scientific literacy. It imports the development of abilities, among them the establishmentof the interactions between concepts and technological knowledge, the valorization of cooperationattitudes, solidarity and indispensable responsibility to the exercise of the citizenship.
