Jogos e desafios no ensino de Matemática: avaliação quantitativa em turmas de sexta série do ensino fundamental / Players and challengers for learning mathematics: Quantitative analysis with four sixth-primary school classes

Resumo

Nos tempos atuais, o professor precisa buscar formas de despertar o interesse nos educandos,para poder competir com o movimento e cores representados pela mídia e pelos recursos eletrônicosaos quais os alunos têm acesso fora da escola. Um dos caminhos para tornar as aulas maisparticipativas é o emprego do lúdico nas mais variadas situações. Esta pesquisa está voltada para ouso das brincadeiras e jogos que estimulam o interesse e a competitividade, de forma saudável. Otrabalho foi realizado com quatro turmas de 6ª série do ensino fundamental, duas no ano de 2002 eduas no ano de 2003, com alternância de metodologias de trabalho entre as turmas envolvidas.Cada turma teve um período de trabalho tradicional e um período de trabalho lúdico. O rendimentoapresentado nas notas das verificações foi de 12,9 a 22% superior quando se desenvolveu a atividadecom o método lúdico.

Currently, when teachers get into a classroom, they start dealing with a whole world of colorsand movements which students use at school. The teacher is experiencing more and more difficulty to awaken the pupils' interest. One of the ways to make the classes more participative is the use ofplayful in the most varied situations. This research is focusing the use of games and plays that makepart of the student's life in the classroom in such a way that the classes become funny and interesting,thus stimulating competition in a healthy way. This work was performed with four sixth-primary schoolclasses, two in 2002 and two in 2003. There was alternation of work methodology in both opportunities.Each class had a period of traditional work, following a didactical book and a period of playfulworked both games and plays.
